For those days when you grab a quick snack, here are some tips to reading labels to stay on track. First, look at the serving size. Some times what looks to be a one serving bag can end up being 2-3 servings and that can throw off your macros in an instant. Be sure to measure out one serving or track all servings that you eat. Second, look for snacks that have a high percentage of protein. Protein is a macro that will help you feel satisfied and it will help you gain/retain muscle. Both are keys to fat loss. And finally, the best way to stay on track is to prepare snacks to take with you but in those busy times hopefully now you can feel confident about choosing the right snack when you are on the go.
